What do you like about living in the Pacific Northwest?
I love the freshness of the Pacific Northwest–scents of cedar and douglas fir trees, sounds of waves crashing on shorelines, the taste of alpine strawberries, the feel of hiking boots on a forest trail, sights of captivating mountain ranges. I also love learning the stories of those who stewarded this region since time immemorial and those who do today.
Why do you work here (at the District)?
Growing up, one of my favorite books was “50 Simple Things Kids Can Do To Save The Earth.” It made me feel like I could make a difference and positively impact our great outdoors. I work at Snohomish Conservation District because I still want to make a difference, and inspire and empower others that they can too.
Bonus fact!
I love going to music festivals! I’ve gone whitewater kayaking! Summer canning season is my jam–and I like puns!
