What do you like about living in the Pacific Northwest?

I love that the forest has been my backyard in every place I've lived in Washington. Being surrounded by native coniferous trees has become very comforting and anytime I'm in a new place outside of the PNW I always find myself missing that part of home.

Why do you work here (at the District)?

Doing conservation field work at SCD felt like a great opportunity to continue working outdoors and giving back to the environment that provides so much for us. It is also a chance to apply a combination of skills I have learned doing both urban and rural restoration work in the previous years and gain many new ideas and perspectives from the SCD team along the way.

Bonus fact!

  • In my free time I enjoy camping, reading, board games, video games, trying new restaurants, and hanging out with my senior dog Gizmo.
