Making hummingbird friends in Ecuador (Buff-tailed coronets)

What do you like about living in the Pacific Northwest?

The RAIN on the west side of the Cascades, and all the plants and animals that thrive here.

Why do you work here (at the District)?

Because SCD does great work connecting people with resources and expertise to protect and improve their soil, water, and landscape, benefiting humans and all the critters that share outdoor space with us.

Bonus fact!

  • Grebes are some of my favorite birds, not only because they are fun to track as they dive for fish, but because you can't say the word "grebe" without smiling. Just try it.
