David grew up hiking in Southern California, and moved to Washington after a 30-day backpacking trip with NOLS in the region. He served as a corpsmember on the District's Washington Conservation Corps crew before joining the Community Conservation crew. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, backpacking, and playing video games.

What do you like about living in the Pacific Northwest?

I love the density and diversity of plants, and the views of the mountains!

Why do you work here (at the District)?

I enjoy being able to work outside, cooperating with landowners to help protect and restore the ecosystem. I believe it's important to account for the needs of both the land and the people living on it, and I appreciate the District's dedication to collaboration.
