2023 Envirothon Registration Begins

Washington State Envirothon is an annual natural resources competition where high schoolers demonstrate their knowledge and problem-solving skills on the topics of aquatic ecology, forestry, soils/land use, and wildlife.

The Northwest Regional competition will take place on March 23, 2023 at the Brightwater Center in Woodinville and the state competition will be held mid-May. The state champion gets to travel to the national competition and test their skills against winning teams from the US and Canada.

The team from Sequoia High School in Everett was one of the winners of the 2022 regional competition, and went on to compete at the state competition this past May! Read the story here.

The fun, competitive spirit of Envirothon motivates students to learn about real-world environmental problems and solutions. Today's Envirothon students will become tomorrow's leaders in stewarding Washington State's natural resources.

If you’re interested in participating, Snohomish Conservation District will support you every step of the way! We can provide study materials, such as our “borrow bins” containing books, equipment, and activities to help students research each topic. We can also supply classroom presentations and workshops to support your team.

We’ll cover the cost of registration, so it’s free to compete─no fundraising needed! Read more about the benefits of Envirothon participation on the WA State Envirothon website or on the National Envirothon website. Teams of up to five high school students are eligible to participate.
