Highlights from the Stanwood-Camano Fair

This fair started as a one day exhibition in 1932! The self-proclaimed "Best Lil' Fair in the West," the Stanwood-Camano Fair, took place last weekend from August 4 through 6, 2017. It's always the first weekend in August.

A host of staff from the District were available at the booth over the three days including Lois, Cam, Kari, Kathryn and Michael to meet cooperators, schedule site visits, and educate people about what Snohomish Conservation District does for landowners and partners in our region.

We spoke with a number of county residents and somehow managed to bear the heat! One highlight was meeting the affectionately known as "Carrot Girls." They have grown up a bit since we featured them on the Lawns to Lettuce brochure.
