Position Now Filled: Youth Educator

Position is now filled. 

We are looking for a dependable and enthusiastic educator to present environmental classroom lessons and outdoor field trips for grades 4-12. Presenters will teach multiple classes per day in schools throughout Snohomish County and Camano Island. We are seeking candidates looking for a permanent position, with an interest in shaping the curriculum and growth of our youth education program.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis – but the first round of applications is due Monday, August 8th at 5pm. 


Schedule: The educator will work a similar calendar year as a public school teacher – from September 1st through June 31st. During the school year, the educator will work 40 hours, Monday through Friday (with occasional weekend and evening commitments). Exact daily start and end times will vary to accommodate school schedules, but will be between 7am – 5pm. A typical weekly schedule will be four days teaching at schools with one full office day for prep time. Option to work remotely is possible.

Salary Range: $30,000 – $36,000 (DOE) for 10 month schedule

Terms: Full-time during Sept-June. Non-exempt salaried position with state benefits (Health, Dental, and Retirement). Position is eligible for paid professional development opportunities.
