Restoration Project Coordinator, AmeriCorps Individual Placement – Washington Conservation Corps
POSITION IS CLOSED: Description: This position is responsible for supporting the Snohomish Conservation Districts (SCD) Natural Resources Team and other District Staff. With service in the office and the field, this position involves multi-faceted duties that require a high level of motivation, versatility, and independence. Support to the Natural Resources Team includes learning about and becoming experienced in freshwater riparian habitat project planning, implementation, project site maintenance, vegetation monitoring, and recruiting and supervising community volunteers. Other opportunities within the District include assisting with Green Storm Water Infrastructure (GSI) projects (eg. rain garden construction and management), supporting SCD staff at outreach events, assisting with the SCD Annual Native Plant Sale, and managing the SCD Native Plant Nursery. The individual holding this position serves independently and as part of a team of District staff and other AmeriCorps members.

WCC Crew Openings
Description: The Snohomish Conservation District crew is based at the county's native plant nursery in Lake Stevens. The crew works on a wide variety of projects including riparian habitat restoration, volunteer supervision, construction projects (fish passage/large wood), fencing projects, outreach workshops/fairs, one or more rain garden/GSI project, one NGPA project, one or more agricultural and forestry BMP construction and NRCS practice specification training. Members will complete one-on-one shadowing days with Farm Planners, Engineers, Water Quality, GSI and Habitat Restoration Specialists to gain skills and experience in site assessment and design, engineering surveys, landowner education, construction supervision, GIS.
