Vet Crew Sighting in Monroe

Our Veterans' Crew spends a good portion of their time planting to restore our local landscape in the spring. Come summer, everything - not just our planned plants - grow! Recently, our crew was out in Monroe mowing and cutting back the Reed Canarygrass, which is a non-native invasive freshwater plant. This plant can grow as high as six feet and was at least that height on the day we spotted the crew at work.

We thank them for their hard work maintaining the properties they helped restore.

And, if you know a veteran looking for a way to give back to the land he or she defended, we are currently hiring for this special crew. More details here.
