Snohomish Conservation District

Adopted Election Resolution

The Snohomish Conservation District will hold a poll-site election for a board seat on the Snohomish Conservation District on March 19, 2019 at 528 91st Ave NE, Lake Stevens, WA 98258. Polls will open at 2 PM and close at 6 PM. Registered voters who reside within the Conservation District boundary are eligible to vote. Potential candidates must be registered voters residing in the conservation district. The candidate filing deadline is Feb 19, 2019 at 3 PM at the district office. Election procedures are available for viewing at the district office. Absentee ballots are available upon request for eligible voters and must be requested on or before 3 PM, March 12, 2019. Completed absentee ballots must be submitted at the District office by 6 PM March 19, 2019. Please contact the District Election Supervisor at 425-377-7020 for absentee ballots or for questions. An appointed position is also open. The appointment is through the Washington State Conservation Commission and the deadline to apply is March 31, 2019. Future election information will be posted only on the District’s website at www.snohomishcd.org.

If you are interested in running for the SCD Board of Supervisors, you may download the “Conservation District Candidates - Guide to Elections.”

To vote in an SCD election, you must:

  1. Be a qualified elector of Snohomish or Island County and

  2. Occupy land as an owner, lessee, renter, or tenant lying within the Snohomish Conservation District, which includes all of unincorporated Snohomish County, Camano Island, and the following cities that have requested to be in the District or were incorporated after the District was formed: Arlington, Brier, Lake Stevens, Lynnwood, Mill Creek, Mountlake Terrace, Mukilteo, Snohomish, Stanwood, and Woodway.
