Volunteer Opportunities

  • Annual Native Plant Sale Volunteers | One Week, Date Varies During Months of February or March

    • Volunteer during the week leading up to our Annual Plant Sale to help bundle and sort native plants that will be sold at an affordable and accessible cost to community members. We sell thousands of plants each year that are planted throughout our communities, benefiting habitat and water quality for years to come. And, we couldn’t pull off this event without our (hundreds of annual) volunteers!

  • Native Plant Nursery Stewards | As needed, January–April

    • Planting and habitat restoration season is in full swing when the rainy season arrives. Our Native Plant Nursery, located in Lake Stevens, is where we grow many of the plants used in restoration projects. Volunteer to help keep the nursery running smoothly. During the busy planting season, there are weekly, ongoing volunteer shifts. It’s a great opportunity to get outside and work with native plants.

  • Other Volunteer Events

    • We also have unique special events and projects that come up each year where we need volunteer help. Examples include large tree planting events, rain garden planting parties, community garden and school projects, rain barrel-build events, and other specialty events. Stay in the know by signing up for our volunteer mailing list.
