Sarah is our Business Operations Director and is here to help our processes run smoothly. She’s worked for a number of years in public health research administration, managing grants, HR, operations, process improvement, and more. She grew up in Bellevue and lives in Marysville now.

What do you like about living in the Pacific Northwest?

I've visited almost 40 states and a handful of other countries and there is nowhere I would rather live than the PNW. I love that we can visit the mountains and the beach in a one-day trip, the climate never stops us from being outside, and we can grow an amazing garden.

Why do you work here (at the District)?

The District is a unique entity and the programs and services we provide fill an important niche in our community. I am so impressed with all the staff here and the engaged community of cooperators and partners who together accomplish an impressive amount of work.

Bonus fact!

I once hand-carried a live chicken 200 kilometers as a housewarming gift for a friend.
