What do you like about living in the Pacific Northwest?
I love the diverse habitats that you get to explore. With high desert, temperate rain forest, and coastal habitats all within a days drive of each other it’s a delight! You get a bit of everything in this region.
Why do you work here (at the District)?
I served as an AmeriCorps VISTA member for another conservation district in Colorado and fell in love with the structure of management and outreach CD’s are able to facilitate. I’m passionate about the role place-based education and conservation can have and how we can bring children into the conversation!
Bonus fact(s)!
I have a hiking cat named Fritz who loves to go on adventures with me!
I learned how to black smith at a former job where we taught black smithing to our students! I’m an expert at making either a fire poker, plant hanger, or a heart shaped trivet!
