Chase hails from the Olympic Peninsula and has a BS in Biology from University of Washington and a MS in Crop and Soil Science from Michigan State University. She’s a bit of a wanderer, having worked seasonally a lot and traveled around, but is happy to be back in her favorite place, WA state.

What do you like about living in the Pacific Northwest?

The ocean, the woods, the wetlands, the mountains, the farms, the towns; and I can go on! The PNW is truly one of the most beautiful places to live (in my mind). Additionally, my family lives here and they’re pretty great too.

Why do you work here (at the District)?

I’m excited about farming and conservation and I enjoy interacting with people.

• I used to play the clarinet (and march!) in the Husky Marching Band at the University of Washington.
