2022 Cascade Award Winner and More Rain Barrel Fun in Lake Stevens

In August, we held our second annual rain barrel painting event at North Cove Park in Lake Stevens. Local residents spent the afternoon learning about stormwater while they created masterpieces of rainwater catchment!

Following the rain barrel painting event, we held the fifth annual Cascade Award presentation. The Cascade Award honors those who have a beautiful, sustainable, lake-friendly garden or landscape in the City of Lake Stevens. Mayor Brett Gailey and SCD’s Executive Director Linda Lyshall spoke about the I Love Lake program and presented the award to Priscilla and Darren Hermsen.
