Teachers! Our Youth Education Classroom Lessons Have Gone VIRTUAL

NEW: Through December 2020, SCD is offering lessons VIRTUALLY! Submit your requests now!

Are you used to having us visit your classroom?

We have adapted all of our usual classroom lessons for a virtual setting. We’ve shortened the lessons to 30 minutes to work with student’s virtual attention spans and to honor your limited time with your students. If you have a preferred online platform (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.) we can join you there. We are also able to host a virtual lesson through our Zoom account, if that is preferred.

Haven’t had us visit your classroom before?

This would be a great time to try us out! Teachers can schedule virtual lessons individually so scheduling can work around your class’s needs and timeline. We’re excited to be a new face in your classroom and to provide support to you through the challenges of distance teaching.

Please note: For our virtual lessons through December 31st, 2020, our program is supported by partnerships with the cities of Arlington, Bothell, Brier, Edmonds, Lake Stevens, Mill Creek, and Mountlake Terrace. We will be prioritizing teaching lessons with schools from these seven cities. Teachers from schools outside of these cities may still request lessons, however, we may need to reschedule those lessons for 2021 depending on availability.

Like all of you, we are trying to adapt as things change for educators and schools this year. We hope to open our calendar for 2021 in late October/November once we have more information about what things might look like then. But as always, we know that plans can change! We’ll keep you posted.

Email our Youth Education Coordinator Lily (lcason@snohomishcd.org) with any questions.
