Perrinville Bioswale - Facebook Livestream in November

Back in November, Kari Quaas on our Community Engagement team did a Facebook Livestream from the the Perrinville Watershed in Edmonds. Throughout 2020, our Vet Crew constructed and installed the materials for the bioswale/rain gardens in the right of way. Fall is the time to plant and so we captured them in action during the final stages of finishing the project for 2020.

Hear from Taylor Pesce, who leads our Veterans Conservation Corps, answer some basic questions about rain gardens, why they’re important and in particular, why we installed this series of rain gardens in the Perrinville Watershed.

Thanks to our partners including the City of Edmonds and Washington Department of Veterans Affairs, for helping us retrofit this old grassy ditch into a filtrating and more effective bioswale.

Let's take a tour!
