Sustainable Food Gardening: Nourish yourself with minimal impact on the environment

We have altered our plans due to the COVID-19 outbreak, which has resulted in a neat and effective way to connect with our audience. WEBINARS! Many organizations have been doing them for some time and they were always on our list, but there is no time like the present to give it a whirl.

To date, we have done two presentations that were scheduled to be live events at Brightwater and the Evergreen Branch of the Everett Library. Positives we’ve seen from the virtual landscape include some great ecological and educational benefits.

  1. People still want to learn and have time to implement what they’re learning!

  2. We are cutting emissions by not all driving to these locations.

  3. If someone wants to re-watch a section, they just rewind (oh wait, simply click to earlier in the presentation).

  4. We can create content for more than just the “in-room” attendees.

Not all presentations will be recorded, but we do hope to bring you new stories and education to your homes.

For starters, here is the video generated from our webinar in partnership with King County Waste Water Treatment Division recorded on Saturday, April 18. Enjoy! And, if you have topics you want us to cover, please email our Outreach team. We look forward to seeing you out in the world again, but in the meantime, this will have to do.
