Urban & Community Forests Program
We’re proud to be partnering with the cities of Everett, Marysville, and the Tulalip Tribes for a five-year program to increase tree canopy in urban neighborhoods! This means that if you live within the defined neighborhood boundaries, you can receive free trees to plant near your home or business. Find the application button at the bottom of this page!
Request your trees by June 1st for fall plantings!
If you’d like assistance in selecting the right tree for your yard or project or would like to request a tree over the phone, contact Haly and include the address where the tree will be planted.
How to Request trees...
Step 1
Check your residential or business address in the map to see if your site is within the project boundaries. Under this funding, only specific neighborhoods can apply for free trees. Click through the slideshows below or view our complete map where you can search your address to see if it fits within the boundaries.
If you don't live within this program's boundaries but are interested in trees, our Annual Plant Sale happens in early March! We also have a list of nurseries that you can purchase plants from.
Step 2
Submit an 811 request to have your underground utilities located for free and refer to our tree placement guide on how to select the right place for trees on your property.
Step 3
Check out our tree species guide and decide which trees you’d like to request. Submit this form when you are ready to order trees. We will send you an email to the order form when your request has been received. Trees will be distributed in October 2025. Planting assistance by our crew is available if you’d like!
Step 4
Check our tree care guide for tips on how to care for your young tree.
Keep on Planting!
If you don’t have room for a tree but would like to be involved, check our Eventbrite page for our community events or sign up here to receive emails about events in your neighborhood.
