Stormwater runoff is currently the largest source of pollution in our waterways, and with climate change bringing heavier rain events, rainfall levels are expected to increase during the winter.
Thankfully, there are helpful techniques to manage the rainwater that falls on your property. This class will provide information on:
capturing and storing roof runoff to use in your yard and garden,
building rain gardens, and
minimizing polluted runoff from your yard.
We’re partnering with the Whidbey Island Conservation District to help island residents with their unique drainage issues and needs for stored rainwater.
