Join us for Orca Recovery Day on Saturday, October 18 at Ovenell Park! We'll be planting native riparian vegetation and agroforestry plants, removing invasive species, and providing education on noxious weeds.
Planting native riparian plants helps orcas by improving their prey's habitat and abundance—specifically salmon—through healthier water systems and aquatic ecosystems, ultimately supporting the survival of our Southern Resident orcas.
Orca Recovery Day is a celebration of community and what it means to be stewards of our local waterways, supporting our orcas and their ecosystem.
Exciting news! Seattle Modern Orchestra is generously offering free tickets to Orca Recovery Day volunteers for their October 18 concert, Among the Trees: Sonic Ecology in the Anthropocene. Volunteer with us to score your free ticket to this evening of beautiful environmental music! We hope to see you there!
