Marysville Orca Recovery Day

  • Jennings Park 5500 70th St NE Marysville, WA, 98270 United States (map)

Join us and the City of Marysville this Orca Recovery Day for a day of action!

On Saturday, October 14 from 10 am-12:30 pm, we'll be at Jennings Park, removing invasive plants and planting native species. We'll also learn about the benefits of streamside buffers, how to create wildlife-friendly habitat, and how our actions at home can help our Southern Resident Orcas. Our hands-on work will directly benefit Allen Creek and the connected water systems in the area.

We’ll have gloves available, but if you have a pair you’re prefer, please bring them.

Please dress for the weather. We’ll be taking action to help the Orcas, rain or shine!

Please note the site has tall grass and uneven terrain. We recommend wearing tall, waterproof boots.

And don’t forget to bring your refillable water bottle!

Funding for this project is provided by the Washington State Conservation Commission Salmon Recovery Fund grant.
