An historic old dairy farm near the Skagit-Snohomish County border that leases 30 acres for livestock grazing has recently received a “stream makeover” complete with new fencing, native plantings and a unique new solar photo-voltaic watering system for cattle. Come to an open house Saturday, October 24 to check it out, learn more and ask questions between 10 am and Noon. Plus, local beef producer Cayley Allen, from Silvana, will be on hand to talk about what farmland owners need to know if they want to rent out their pastures for cow, horse or other livestock grazing.
This water quality workshop is sponsored by the Snohomish Conservation District with funding from the Washington Department of Ecology
