Meet Our New Forester

We are excited to introduce Stacey Dixon, our new forester on our Habitat-Floodplains team!

Stacey will assist forest landowners who are looking to improve their forest health, develop timber management plans, and nurture a diverse, healthy ecosystem on their land. She will also be available to help with wildfire preparedness assistance, providing guidance on how to create defensible space and manage the area to mitigate wildfire damage.

As we face increasing threats of wildfire on the west side of the Cascades, we are delighted that Stacey will be available to work with SCD staff on re-invigorating the district’s wildfire preparedness program.

There is more information to come, but join us in welcoming Stacey to the team!
