Five-Barrel Rain Catchment System for Tulalip Tribes Health Clinic

On April 19, members of SCD's Community Conservation Team installed a five-barrel rain catchment system for Tulalip Tribes Health Clinic. The rain water that is captured off of the roof will be used to water vegetable and flower plants in their newly constructed green house. These starts will be planted into vegetable garden beds around the health clinic. Patients from the health clinic will be able to enjoy fresh, locally grown, nutritious food when they visit the clinic. Not only will they be saving money by reusing rain water, but they will also be helping to protect the nearby Tulalip Bay from stormwater runoff and pollution.
