Tales of Two Rivers (Snohomish and Stillaguamish)
Storytelling is so powerful, and in 2022, we had the opportunity to aid 12 storytellers make films about their lives and experience tied to either farming, fishing, or living in the floodplain.
Remarkably, this group of wonderful humans was able to find creativity and connectively through their screens.

Photovoice
Seven farms took part in the Photovoice Project hosted by the Snohomish Conservation District and The Nature Conservancy. Participants shared photos with captions in response to two questions: "Why is agriculture important to our community?" and "What are the major challenges facing agriculture?" By sharing their story through this exhibit, these farmers hope to raise awareness of some of the pressing issues facing agriculture in this County.

Snohomish Conservation District’s Agriculture Resilience Team hosted a five-part online discussion series in 2021. Each workshop examined a different topic—trees, soil, livestock, water, and technology—and discussed how each of these impact, and are impacted by, climate change.

Steering Committee and Farmer Input During Plan Development
This Steering Committee comprised of 11 Snohomish County farmers representing various types, sizes, and locations of farms helped develop the Agriculture Resilience Plan. We thank them for their work and invite other farmers to continue to provide comment and contribute into the future.
