How does your local stream or lake measure up? Using a variety of real water quality testing equipment to gather current data, student scientists will suit up with their safety goggles and evaluate the health of a local water body. Students will learn about sources of pollution and discuss steps they can take at home to reduce pollution in their local watershed. 

PLEASE NOTE! Though not required, access to a stream, lake, or even a stormwater retention pool enhances this lesson! If at all possible, please arrange for your classroom to meet our educators outside.
