Living with Beavers (In Person)

  • Lake Stevens Library - Sno-Isle Libraries 2211 Grade Road Lake Stevens, WA, 98258 United States (map)

While beavers can cause challenges for landowners, they can also be invaluable for protecting and preserving fresh water and wildlife habitat.

If beavers are causing issues on your property, there may be solutions to help you to live peacefully alongside them, allowing them to continue paddling around and raising their young while reducing the impact they have on your home and activities.

This free class covers:

  • Assessing your beaver situation

  • Identifying options for beaver management

  • Permits

  • Devices such as trickle tubes and beaver deceivers

  • Installing protective caging around trees

Our presentation starts at the Lake Stevens Library at 10:30 am. From there, we'll take a brief walk to visit a nearby project site demonstrating beaver coexistence. Please be sure to dress for the weather and a walk through vegetation—waterproof shoes are highly recommended.
