About the tree-planting site: Last summer, our staff helped landowner, David New, excavate a filled in channel on his property and plant 37 acres of native trees and shrubs. The planted side-channel will benefit salmon for years to come -enabling them to reach spawning grounds that were inaccessible before the project.

Now that the rainy season is back, it's time to finish the planting! There are thousands more trees and shrubs to be planted to complete this large-scale restoration project. Volunteers are needed to help us plant such a large site. Any amount of time you can volunteer, is greatly appreciated!
