The Dirt on Soil Health - Part 1

  • Everett Public Library - Evergreen Branch 9512 Evergreen Way Everett, WA, 98204 United States (map)

The Dirt on Soil Health Part 1 |  Wednesday, October 7

**Registration open to City of Everett Residents**

Join Christina Pfeiffer, a local horticulture consultant, to learn how to build healthy soil in your yard. Learn about popular local plants and what types of soils they grow best in. Soil is the foundation for a successful lawn and garden. If your soil is not rich in organic matter or the right pH, you can struggle to grow certain plants and grass-even if you are adding fertilizers or other boosters. Optional: bring your own soil sample to be tested for just $15. That’s a 50% savings! Sign up for the soil test by selecting the soil test ticket option.

Sign up for part 2, as well! This special 2-part series will provide an in-depth introduction to building and maintaining healthy soil in your yard. If you choose to pay $15, you can bring your soil test in to the first workshop in the series and recieve the results back at Part 2 - that way you can learn with your results right in front of you! Though we encourage you to attend both part 1 & 2, you do not have to attend both. You may also choose to opt out of the $15 soil test - you'll still learn plenty about soil health!
