CITY OF LYNNWOOD
Snohomish Conservation District partners with the City of Lynnwood to provide innovative, community-based solutions to stormwater issues. Do you have drainage issues on your business or residential property, school, or place of worship?
Highlights & News
Although most of us refuse to use umbrellas, the fact remains that our annual rainfall averages about 35 inches in the western part of the county and increases sharply as you approach the Cascade Mountains. Managing the stormwater runoff resulting from all of this rain remains a crucial part of Snohomish Conservation District’s work to reduce pollution in our streams, rivers, and Puget Sound.

Thank you to our partners including Boeing, King Conservation District, City of Lynnwood, Tulalip Tribes, Lowe’s, and YOU, for making these rain barrel sales possible. Each drop of water saved is good for all of us!

The City of Lynnwood is partnering with Snohomish Conservation District, Edmonds Community College, and WSU Extension-Snohomish County to fund a limited number of rain gardens and rain catchment systems for homeowners. These can be beautiful improvements to your landscape, and help save our urban streams at the same time
Upcoming Events and Workshops
We will be partnering on the rain garden program again in 2023, and hope to do a planting event in the fall.
