Spencer Fuentes, his wife Karen and their 3 children own and operate Hazel Blue Acres. This family farm is located near Silvana on the Stillaguamish River. It was a dairy farm until 1998 when Spencer purchased it from his mother. Spencer and his family grow Certified Organic blueberries for you-pick and purchase along with hazelnuts, orchard grass for hay and haylage, wheat and barley as well as some livestock.

As a lifelong resident of Snohomish County he has seen and experienced the growth over the past 5 ½ decades and the resulting pressures on the environment. He cares deeply for the area and has a desire to maintain the quality of it. As an active member of the Snohomish County Ag Resilience Steering Committee his record of attendance to the meetings shows his commitment to the duties and a desire to be involved. It is his goal to work to improve the quality of life of all the residents of Snohomish County.

Since arriving in the Pacific Northwest in 2015, Libby has worked supporting local agriculture in both Snohomish and King Counties. She currently represents SnoValley Tilth on the Implementation and Oversight Committee for the Farm, Fish, Flood initiative in King County. She is committed to working toward equitable food systems that provide healthy, nutritious food access to all and a sustainable living wage to farmers. She is the owner and operator of Orange Star Farm, a small farm in Monroe, providing produce, duck meat and duck eggs direct to consumers and wholesale to restaurants in Snohomish and King Counties. She is committed to farming practices that build healthy and functioning ecosystems both above and below the soil.
