As the District’s Youth Educator, Lily presents environmental classroom lessons and outdoor field trips for grades 3-12 throughout Snohomish County and Camano Island. She holds a masters degree in natural resources from the University of Georgia. She has spent time working as an environmental educator for Georgia 4H, New Hampshire state parks, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and the Athens-Clarke County Water Conservation Office.
What do you like about living in the Pacific Northwest?
I moved here from Georgia partially because of my love of the outdoors! I enjoy exploring the PNW by hiking, running, snowshoeing, and going on adventures. I feel lucky to live in such a beautiful place!
Why do you work here (at the District)?
Having a job where I get to look at bugs, play outside, and work with kids is a dream come true! I love working with the public and especially youth. I enjoy creating opportunities for young people to explore the world around them, learn about natural resources, develop skills, and feed their sense of curiosity.
