Alicia is one of our Community Conservation Project Coordinators. She graduated from the University of Washington with a BA in Linguistics and a BS in Technical Communication. Alicia's experience is vast, she has worked in SEO and social media marketing, WWOOFed on a flower farm in Australia, and interned with the SCA in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee doing environmental education and GIS. Most recently, she spent five years with the WCC, working her way up from a corps member to a supervisor. While with the WCC she learned many things - how to work hard, how to use hand and power tools, and how to complete salmon habitat restoration projects while managing a crew- and she is looking forward to building on those skills here at the Snohomish Conservation District.

What do you like about living in the Pacific Northwest?

I love that there are so many ways to interact with nature here in Washington. I enjoy building rain gardens and digging trails, but I also like to climb mountains, play ultimate frisbee, and road bike.

Why do you work here (at the District)?

There are so many motivated, hard-working people here at SCD who care about the work they do and the people they help. I'm thrilled to be a part of a team that believes in collaboration, progress, and innovation when it comes to solving community conservation problems.

Bonus fact(s)!
