Why implement a project at your school?
The next generation science standards (NGSS) call for more rigorous, authentic problem solving and applied learning for students. Implementing projects at school that protect the environment are a great way to meet these standards while showing students that positive change can happen when people work together. Students feel pride in their school while gaining a sense of shared accomplishment. Environmental Service Learning is one of the best forms of environmental education because students don't just learn about the issues facing the environment - they are supported to do something to make a difference!
