An election for a board seat on the Snohomish Conservation District Board of Supervisors will be held on Tuesday, March 17th, 2015 at the District office, 528 91st Ave NE, Lake Stevens, WA. Polls will open at 2:00 PM and close at 6:00 PM. Registered voters who reside within the Conservation District boundaries are eligible to vote. Absentee ballots are also available at the District office. They must be requested on or before 3:00 PM, February 24, 2015 and must be returned to the District office by 6:00 PM, March 17th.
The District has one elected and one appointed volunteer board position open. Both positions are for three-year terms on the District Board of Supervisors. To be eligible, a candidate must be a registered voter residing in the conservation district and may be required to own land or operate a farm. A conservation district supervisor is a public official who serves without compensation and who sets policy and direction for the Conservation District. The filing deadline to run for this position is by 3:00 PM, February 17, 2015.
