The winner of the District election was Steve Van Valkenburg, from Arlington. He will be confirmed by the Washington State Conservation Commission at their May meeting.

Elections

* For information on the SCD Supervisor election, or to nominate a person for the three-year, volunteer term, please contact the SCD Election Official, Bobbi Lindemulder, at 425-335-5634, ext 109.

To vote in the SCD election, you must:

1.) Be a qualified elector of Snohomish or Island County and

2) Occupy land as an owner, lessee, renter, or tenant lying within the Snohomish Conservation District, which includes all of unincorporated Snohomish County, Camano Island, and the following cities that have requested to be in the District or were incorporated after the District was formed:

Arlington, Brier, Lake Stevens, Lynnwood, Mill Creek, Mountlake Terrace, Mukilteo, Snohomish, Stanwood, and Woodway.
